Welcome!

Hi, you may not know us now, but soon we hope to be a  household name. We, The Roving Beaders, are a group of local bead instructors, (some of whom were originally affiliated with a local bead store in southeastern NH) offering bead classes in a variety of venues. We do have a permanent “nest” at the Rodgers Memorial Library in Hudson (see below for more information about our home there). But we have been spotted at other places in the area such as the Nesmith Memorial Library in Windham, NH, The Bead Room in Nashua, NH, and as far away as Simply Beadiful, LLC. in Springfield, MA. Who knows, we might even show up at your home…

This website will develop as we mature (lol), but for now, we invite you to join us in our newest adventures:

Please make note...We have matured a bit, and are now able to accept credit/debit cards to pre-register for classes. If you prefer to write a check (made out to "The Roving Beaders" and we are meeting at the Rodgers Memorial Library in Hudson, please register in person there. We will no longer be able to hold seats in classes for people who have not pre-registered and pre-paid. If the class is not at the Rodgers Memorial Library, or if it is not convenient for you to pre-register there please see the bottom of this website for more information on registering for classes.

We hope that you saw our feature: "W.O.R.D" (What Our Rovers Did) in our recent newsletter. We hope to make that a regular feature here on our web site. So those of you who didn't finish their Spring Bling Bangle, please make sure you bring your finished one to our next class so yours can be featured in our next W.O.R.D.

Soon we will be selling kits with instructions and refill kits on our webite. We will let you know when that becomes available.

A few people have told us that they have e-mailed us with questions and did not get a response. IF this should happen to you, please try again or leave a message on our telephone. We thought we were getting all of the e-mails, but apparently a few have not been delivered.

 Spring Bling Rings

Saturday, May 19
(note: this is the 3rd Sat. in May)

Now that you have your Spring Bling Bracelet made, you will need a coordinating ring. And if you weren't able to join us for the bangle session, we are certain that you will want to make
these beautiful rings to go with any of your bracelets.) We will be learning how to make the "Janis K." ring, and we also have a third ring to do in this ring class which is going to be held on the THIRD Saturday in May. We will be making two "Janis K." rings with two different sizes of crystals; the third ring uses 3 different sized crystals. The rings on the "clapper" are samples of the "Janis K." ring using sizes 4 and 6 mm crystals. The ring on the real hand uses 3 different sizes of crystals. These rings are great because you can make one to go with all
of your different outfits! The class (for all level of beaders) will be held from 11 - 3 at the Rodgers Memorial Library in Hudson. Materials kit includes: 3 different sizes of Swarovski crystals, seed beads and stinging material and the cost is only: $15. You will need to bring your own bead mat and needles. We will have refill kits available for each ring.

We will have a 3rd style ring kit that we will be offering. The price and photos will be coming soon.

Saturday, June 9
11 - 3 Nesmith Library in Windham

This will be a combination BYOB (bring your own beads)/beginners' flat even count peyote class for those who need to learn or want a refresher course. The peyote class will make a bracelet. We will post a sample of the bracelet, as soon as we get one made. For those who don't take the peyote class, we will work on our unfinished projects, share ideas, and chit chat. There will be a materials kit fee for the peyote class, and of course, the BYOB is free, but we ask that you please register, so we know how many people to expect. More details (fee for peyote materials etc.) will be forthcoming.
As usual, we ask that you bring your beading mats and needles. Snacks are always welcomed at the BYOBs ;-)
For directions to the library please visit their website

Saturday, June 23

Rodgers Memorial Library from 11 - 3
We will be making an really cool ankle bracelet. For those of you who do not like ankle bracelets, it can be a great regular bracelet too. In addition, for those of you who like to make matching sets, this will also make an awesome necklace. As soon as we have a name, a picture and a materials kit price, we will post the information here.

We will continue to sell refill kits to those who have taken the class. If you were not able to attend the class, and want a kit, please contact us for a set that will include the directions.
We hope to have more refill kits available for the Spring Bling Bangles, once we finish the Spring Bling Ring class.

**Those of you who have been asking for the bungee bracelet, we are now able to do it, so once again, please help us find places to roam. We will bring a sample to the next class. (We did, but we forgot to show you! Those flaky mice!) Anyway, as stated in our newsletter, we can start this lesson during class, with our tools, however, you will need tools to finish this project at home. We will need to discuss this.
**Silver seed bead wave bracelets can now be on our schedule. We will be collecting money via Pay Pal, the Square, or checks. Once we have a nice size group of people interested in that class, we will buy the kits. We will post the picture here, as soon as we can.

General Information:

There has been some interest in having some evening classes. We are working out the details and will get back to you with that information as soon as it is available. We will definitely begin our Kumihimo class (1 of 2) during the evening class. If you are not able to attend the class, you can buy the kit and start the project at home. We will finish the bracelet during a Saturday class.

In addition, there have been requests for an earrings class--we are scouting around for non-libraries for this class, as we feel that pounding metal on metal is not a particularily good idea for a class in a library. We think we have found a place :-) We will probably wait until the summer is over for this class, as we know that many of you may not be able to join us for the summer classes. Of course, we also know that many of you will be free to join us. Don't worry, we have some really cool things planned for the summer.

As usual, we ask if anyone has a space (e.g. a club house, a church meeting room, etc.) that we could
use please let us know. The Hudson and Windham Libraries have been so kind to us for letting us have the spaces that we have, but we are always looking for more venues.

Due to popular demand, "The Leather Wrap Bracelet" will be scheduled for a date at the Rodgers Memorial Library in Hudson to meet the schedules of those who weren't able to attend the class held in Windham. Time and Date TBD

As you may have noticed there is a pattern here…we will be “nesting” at the Rodgers Memorial Library in Hudson, NH on the 4th Saturday of each month. If there is a long holiday weekend we will try to change the date. Please note that all classes except our “BYOBs" must be paid in full prior to the day of the class. Sometimes we will have to have a deadline as to when we need you to register. That would be necessary if we are ordering kits or materials that are specific for a certain class. Unfortunately, we are not be able to refund your materials fee. We will let you know in advance the cost of the class and give you ample time to register. This will give us time to make kits for our classes. So as soon as you register, please do not forget to mark the date on your calendar! All of our “BYOBs” are free; however, we ask that you register with us, just so that we will be expecting you.

Soon we will be selling kits with instructions and refill kits on our webite. We will let you know when that becomes
available.

A few people have told us that they have e-mailed us with questions and did not get a response. IF this should
happen to you, please try again or leave a message on our telephone (MFBIR Designs). We thought we were getting all of the e-mails, but apparently a few have not been delivered.

Checks may be mailed to: The Roving Beaders c/o Michelle Brown 62 A Shadowbrook Dr, Hudson, NH 03051.
